漆が木から塗料になるまでの過程をお話します。

〇工房見学
木曽平沢のまちなみから一歩奥へ入ると、また違った景色が見えてきます。普段は足を踏み入れることのできない工房で、仕事の裏側を覗いてみましょう。日常を彩るお椀や箸などの小物、空間を演出する大物家具、地域のお祭りの山車の修復等、その時々の仕事を見学させていただきます。

木曽平沢では、古くより様々な地域の商人や旅人が行き交い、外の人と地元の人の垣根を越えて、心と心を通わせる風土が息づいていました。こうした「もてなし」の文化を、木曽漆器を“つかう”体験と共にお楽しみいただきます。産地の担い手と、このまちのこと、お仕事のこと、日常のこと等を語らいながら、同じ時間を一緒に過ごしていただく体験です。

In Kiso-Hirasawa, a culture of hospitality has long thrived, where merchants and travelers from various regions have come and gone, transcending barriers between outsiders and locals to connect heart to heart. We invite you to experience this culture of hospitality alongside the experience of “using” Kiso lacquerware. This is an experience where you spend time together, conversing with the artisans of this production area about the town, their work, and their daily lives.

Things to Experience in Narai-juku
◉ Stroll Through the Post Town and Stay Overnight
Narai-juku is divided into three areas: Kamimachi, Nakamachi, and Shimomachi. Each district offers distinct scenery and culture. Watering places, temples, shops specializing in woodworking, inns… Why not join a local guide and experience firsthand the lifestyles and stories of the people who have lived here from the past to the present?
