Making hinoki chopsticks
Making chopsticks from Kiso hinoki which is a local specialty using a simple technique. Using a special kit, hinoki will be shaved and sanded into chopstick shapes, and branded with the “Narai-juku”logo. Also taking home the kanna shavings. Enjoy the aroma by putting it in your room air freshener or bath, or use it as a deodorant to enjoy its healing effect. Up to 4 people can experience it together. There are days when this experience is not available, so please inquire in advance if you would like to try it.
